Escapement

A private circle · Est. 2026

Most collectors acquire.
Few truly understand what they own.
Escapement is for the second kind.

There was a time when sailors could not fix their east-west position. Ships were lost; empires were bounded by geography. John Harrison built a marine chronometer accurate enough to fix longitude at sea. Britain's dominance of the oceans — and therefore global trade — was partly built on that breakthrough.

The escapement at its heart is not merely a watch part. It is the hinge between chaos and precision — between lost and found — the mechanism that governs time.

Time, precisely kept, once determined who ruled the seas.

London·Geneva·Monaco

The circle

Founders, investors, and operators who collect seriously. Access to pieces, makers, and moments that don't appear on waiting lists.

Invite-only evenings at extraordinary locations in London, Geneva, Monaco, Dubai and New York.

The craft

We work with the people and institutions behind the most consequential movements in horology. Independent ateliers. Historic maisons. Those who have never needed to advertise. This is not the secondary market. This is the source.
